It's a Daisy v Abigail face off on the cakes by the slice today!

We gave each of them a mystery box (cake stand) of ingredients to make some magic with. Whose are you going for? 👀

Daisy got @fixandfogg smoke fire peanut butter, rice, and condensed milk. This got turned into a peanut butter marbled cake filled with layers of horchata (a Latin American cinnamon, rice, and vanilla milk) ganache, brown butter blondie, and dulce de leche. Wrapped in a spiced peanut butter buttercream with drips of horchata ganache and chopped peanuts.

Abigail got feijoas, @puhoivalley caramel white chocolate milk, and a block of caramilk. She turned this into a ginger spiced feijoa crumble cake filled with layers of caramilk ganache, feijoa crumble, and ginger crunch ganache. Wrapped in a vanilla ginger buttercream with drips of ginger ganache and chunks of crumble

At lunch, we found out a cake that had been booked by a customer for the 17th of May was needed for the 10th, and they had got their dates mixed up 😬

Let's be honest, a three tier cake in 6 hours is often not something we can do, but we live by the motto of 'if you can reasonably do something to help someone, you should', and they are a regular customer so we do love to get it done. We all put our heads down and smashed it out for them.
